First Aid Responder
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) states an “occupational first aider” is defined in the Regulations as a person trained and qualified in occupational first aid. Such training can only be provided by organisations or individuals Registered with a Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council Recognised Institution
PHECC FAR-OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
This three day course will comprehensively cover all aspects of First Aid, using the most up-to-date procedures and principles, so as to enable the participant to recognise and confidently deal with injuries and medical emergencies until professional help arrives. Upon successful completion of the course and examination, participants are presented with a PHECC’s First Aid Response (FAR) Certificate, which is valid for two years.
